Position Overview
Laser Midstream is seeking a Natural Gas Scheduler with a minimum of 3 years of experience in midstream or gas marketing operations. This role will be responsible for the daily scheduling, balancing, and coordination of natural gas volumes across pipelines, processing plants, and counterparties.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with direct exposure to commercial, accounting, measurement, and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily and monthly natural gas scheduling activities across multiple pipelines and systems
- Coordinate nominations, confirmations, and scheduling changes with pipelines, producers, and downstream customers
- Monitor and manage imbalances, cuts, and capacity constraints
- Ensure compliance with pipeline tariffs, contracts, and operational requirements
- Partner closely with internal teams (commercial, accounting, field operations, and measurement) to ensure accurate volume tracking
- Review and validate measurement data, including meter volumes and allocations, to ensure alignment with scheduled volumes
- Assist with allocations and volume reconciliation, identifying and resolving discrepancies between measured and scheduled volumes
- Support monthly close processes, including volume tie-outs and reporting
- Maintain accurate records of transactions, nominations, confirmations, and measurement data
- Assist in optimizing flows across the system to support commercial objectives
- Support onboarding of new pipelines, interconnects, and contracts as the system grows
- Perform other duties and support broader operational needs as required in a growing organization
Qualifications
Minimum 3+ years of natural gas scheduling experience (midstream, pipeline, or marketing company)
Strong understanding of:
Pipeline nomination cycles (Timely, Evening, Intraday)
NAESB standards
Gas balancing and imbalances
Experience working with pipeline EBBs and scheduling platforms
Familiarity with major pipelines in Texas / Louisiana markets preferred
Working knowledge of gas measurement, allocations, and volume reconciliation
Proficiency in Excel and scheduling/accounting systems
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines

Compensation & Benefits
Competitive base salary + bonus ($85,000- $110,000 base – depending on experience)
